Theft of motor vehicle/property, Cold Caller Awareness, Community Speed Watch, New Neighbourhood Watch Zone & Patrol updates

Theft of motor vehicle. 

We have received a report that on 16/08/2025 at approximately 02:30am a BMW M760 LI, Maroon in colour, was stolen from Danebower Road. 

The vehicle was possibly driven along Danebower Road before turning around and heading back towards Burrington Drive. The vehicle was driven along Burrington Drive, onto Barlaston Old Road in the direction of Longton Road. The vehicle is believed to of gone right at the traffic lights (next to the BOD).

*Theft of property

We have received a report that on 14/08/2025 between 14:00 – 17:00, two males stole items of property from the rear garden of a property on Balmoral Cl.

Cold Caller Awareness – suspicious male

We have received reports from areas including Trent Vale, Shelton, Lightwood and Hartshill, of a male knocking on doors and asking the occupants if they would like any jobs doing and or asking for money, that he states he needs to feed his child. We have identified a male who we believed to be involved and he does not have children. We have had no reports of any such incidents in Trentham & Hanford. The male is described as a white male, aged early 20’s, having blonde hair and of a slim build. If anyone should attend your property asking for money, please do not give any and contact the Police by calling 101/999. 

How to report incidents

Incidents can be reported by calling 101 (in non-emergencies) 999 (in emergencies). Non-emergency incidents can also be reported online by visiting Home | Staffordshire Police

This helps to ensure incidents are recorded and responded to promptly.

Community Speed Watch

The Trentham & Hanford Community Speed Watch group have been on Jonathan Road this morning (22/08/2025). 

3 vehicles were recorded as driving above the speed limit, with the highest recording being 38mph. 

Letters will now be sent to the registered keepers of those vehicles. 

The Community Speed Watch group are doing an amazing job with helping to raise the awareness of the dangers of speeding on our roads. 

In order to carry out Community Speed Watch in more locations throughout the area, we need more volunteers. If anyone would like to take part or would like any further information on Community Speed Watch, please send me a message and I will be in touch – thank you. 

Parking issues & a very big thank you

Over the last couple of days, I have been addressing a parking matter on the area, to which I just wanted to send a very big thank you to all the residents I spoke to who have helped me and who have been very understanding of what was needing to be achieved. 

It was a great example of everyone working together – and having the support of the community essential – so thank you all very much! 

Neighbourhood Watch 

Recently a resident contacted myself requesting a Neighbourhood Watch Zone in ‘Trentham Gardens Close’ and nearby properties on Stone Road. This week a zone was created and I delivered ‘welcome packs' to residents.

The zone is called Stone Road & Trentham Gardens Close Neighbourhood Watch.
